To develop a Web based Sales Order Processing and Tracking System for Quizz sportswear Inc.

Process map activities followed in Quizz sportswear are as follows

Quizz sportswear has one major mode of Order Booking and Processing

  • Make To Order Methodology


The products involved are branded products wherein the Quizz sportswear carries out the Make To Order methodology for its own brands and for brands of other companies.

For the Own brands -
For The own brands Make To Order methodology is followed:

  • Mother warehouses,
  • Service warehouses or Retailers run out of stock due to sudden demands and
  • Special efforts have to be put in to ensure supplies are made available to such point of sales.

For the other brands -
For brands of other companies Make to Order methodology is also followed:

  • As customer comes in company with specific requirements for which no previous data may be available. (i.e. the customer is essentially an unplanned incident)

As order is booked after the following preliminary exercises are carried out

  • Specifications for the garment come from the customer where the reference is to garments already manufactured earlier.
  • Specifications for the garment come from the retailers where the reference is to the products already manufactured
    earlier.
  • Raw Material availability and procurement lead-time.
  • Finances
  • Distribution and Marketing Logistics
  • Capacity for Production
  • Outsourcing / Job Working production activities
  • Costs for Outsourcing / Job Working Production activities

a.After booking of the order, Purchase orders for the various Raw material components are released on the vendor. Such as fabric suppliers and other vendors.

b.At Goods Receipt quality checks are carried out and rectification of Quality defects are followed up. Then Raw Materials are issued to Production

c.Before the production is carried out as part of the Planning process, production capacity and capability, resource allocation, targets etc. are determined. Raw Material from stores is issued to production. Production activities are carried out. Confirmation of various activities is reports to the system. (e.g. of Activities are as Fabric Checking, Layering, Cutting, Stitching, Buttoning, Washing, Ironing, Packing)
At each stage of the production activities, quality checks are carried out.

d.For those activities which are the entrusted to outside job working quality checking and production monitoring is also carried out.

e.The finished and packed garments are transferred to the finished goods stock.

f.Shipment activities are carried out from the Finished Goods Stock.

g.Shipment / Dispatch Logistics-The two major modes of deliveries are to
I. Mother Warehouse - These are central warehouses from where further distribution can be carried out.
II. Service Warehouse - These are local Warehouse smaller than Mother Warehouse from where distribution to retailers is carried out.
III. Retailers (Point of Sale) - Deliveries to retailers are dispatched from service and or Mother Warehouse.

Description :This in-process COM component (ActiveX Dll) gives a functionality to provide DSN-less connection to MS SQL Server, Oracle, and MS Access databases. Its takes Table or View or Store Procedure with or without arguments returns a ADO Recordset back to the client using ActiveX Data Objects (ADO).
